We couldn't have asked for better weather on Saturday as there was barely a breeze and perfect temps. Fishing was a little slow for jewfish and flathead but the Bream seem to be bitting. Mal Clark once again cleaned up on bream with 13 legal fish up to 400mm and lots of undersized as well. Ron and Sam got a hand full of bream as well and played chicken with a seaplane for a thrill ..lol. Peter and Stephen got a mixed bag of undersized fish and got the times wrong and missed the BBQ. The club might have to pitch in and buy Peter Bylsma a new watch... Tony Pearce also ended up with a hand full of undersized fish too. Michael Withford was an expert on pike eels by the end of the day and risked loosing a finger so he could retrieve his hook. He also got some small jewfish. There were probably more than 30 small soapy jewfish caught but unfortunately no giants. My son Jayden got a few small soapies and I managed to get a decent flathead of 725mm on a live bait but had to return it as it was too big to keep. I also got a large tailor 380mm for berowra waters standards.
Overall it was a great day and we finished it off at the boat ramp carpark with a BBQ.
