Report for Presidents Day
Sunday morning 13 July 2025
Well, what a fantastic turnout for this annual outing. A total of 18 members and friends had a fish and enjoyed a fab BBQ back at the ramp.
At 630am Berowra Waters started out as pee-soup heavy fog, so it was slow and steady early on. Boats went chasing Bream, Flathead and Mulloway. It soon cleared into a nice day.
Fishing was pretty tough going for the most part. Middle of winter is not ideal! However some really nice fish were landed by most.
Best catch of the day went to Ron Abdilla with a cracking 460mm Bream as a catch & release. Winning him a brand new filleting knife. Narrowly pipping Rob Sinclair who landed a 450mm. However Rob was lucky enough to take home the $200 rod & reel lucky-door prize.
Special mention to Andreas Peukert who went to great effort to bring his big boat all the way around to Berowra ramp and skippered Tom Connolly and Benjamin Withford who went as crew.
Honestly the bbq was so easy when all hands are on deck to set up and cook, so typical of Sea Bees. Cheers Ronny, Sam & Roy.
