The Entrance - November 2025

FISHING REPORT – The Entrance – Saturday 15th Nov.- Four square Round 1.

Report by Peter Bylsma

Unfortunately there was only a small turn up to the estuary event on Saturday. Four members tried their luck on the fickle Tuggerah Lake.

Mick Withford, Damien Briggs, Mal Clark and Peter Bylsma took on the challenge.

Mick and Damien worked the northern shoreline on foot around The Entrance bridge while Peter and Mal took Peter’s boat out onto the lake.

The weather was very pleasant and after starting around 6:00am Peter frustratingly missed getting a large flathead into the boat. It would have been the best catch of the day as it was estimated by Mal to more than 600mm.

Mal and Peter later caught a few flathead on a short streak that was broken by a 1 metre Longtom that Peter caught and handled very carefully (it’s not known as Tylosurus crocodilus for nothing!).

Mick and Damien worked the shore very hard but unfortunately weren’t able to take a trick and came up empty handed.

We called it quits at 12 noon and headed home before the busy afternoon traffic.
