Parsley Bay - September 13th 2026

Sea Bees Estuary Outing September 13th 2026

Report by Andreas Peukert

We had a beautiful start to the day weather-wise, with sunshine and calm conditions at Parsley Bay boat ramp in the morning.

Attendees on the day were I and Peter Bylsma in my boat, Michael Markich with Dianne in his boat, plus Michael's son Cameron and his girlfriend in their new (or newly re-discovered!) boat. Shout-out to a fellow catamaran owner there!

Michael et al headed up the river towards Spencer and tried their luck there. Result: one nice flathead per boat, Michael's being 470mm and Cameron's clocking in at 590mm.

Peter and I tried various spots in the estuary. I personally had a very slow day, with not a single bite! However Peter managed to get a massive bream of 470mm which was a new PB for him. He also caught a 575mm mulloway, which was released safely.

All in all a beautiful day out on the water, slow fishing day or not. Looking forward to the next one!
